Harlem Thesis

In his poem "Harlem", Langston Hughes uses different types of imagery to demonstrate the idea that having to postpone your dreams and desires can ultimately lead to destruction within oneself.

Through imagery, Hughes demonstrates the emotional destruction that can result from the postponement of one's dreams.

I like your thesis. However, I like the above comment's sentence structure a little better. I like how you brought in the author's message as a whole.

I like your thesis. You stick the tone of the poem and your thesis leaves room for you to elaborate on the different images that are used in the poem.
